New version of Bitrix® Virtual Appliance for VMware offers high-quality experience for using Bitrix products in a virtual environment

ALEXANDRIA , VA. – May 11, 2010 – Bitrix, Inc, a technology trendsetter in business communications solutions, , announces the release of a new version of the Bitrix® Virtual Appliance for VMware virtualization environment. Version 1.6 contains a number of improvements that make the installation and use of Bitrix products even easier and more dependable.

Bitrix Virtual Appliance 1.6 contains a number of features reflecting the new capabilities introduced in Bitrix platform 9.0. The software now supports automatic configuration and launch of an integrated SMTP server, HTTPS protocol, abd the latest versions of VMware and Zend Server. It includes indexation and search in PDF files, improved caching of HTML pages and a more efficient installation process for Bitrix products. Other fixes and improvements address the common drawbacks detected in version 1.5 and follow-up on accumulated user comments, including WebDAV and Apache operation.
